About Clarke Construction Security
History
Clarke Construction Security Ltd, (C.C.S) has been established
since 1997, and for nearly 10Years has been providing effective
economic temporary security to the construction industry.
Pre 1997 there was no real alternative
to building site security other than the static guard, so
CCS was formed. Using the latest technology available CCS
designed a radio linked alarm system to protect the building
site scenario and arranged a response to the site on an alarm
activation.
Since then we have expanded our systems
to included fully monitored CCTV systems with PA speakers
and biometric access control systems. We have also set up
our own motorbike response unit that covers greater London.
The systems we have developed and tested
over the years together with the experience we have gained
during this time, has enabled us to provide very successful
economic site security to hundreds of construction companies
covering thousands of building sites across the country.
Accreditations
- In 1999 we were enrolled onto
the Security Systems and Inspection Board (S.S.A.I.B) which
proves that we install our systems to a certain standard.
- In 2000 our quality management system
achieved ISO9002 standard, as certified by ISOQAR.
- In 2005 we became a member a member
of the Citation approved health & safety management
system.
- In 2006 we were certified compliant
by the Building Register.
Innovation
We pride our selves on the innovation of unique security systems
designed specifically to suit the building site scenario,
for example: Much of the detection we use is a hybrid of a
NACOSS approved radio linked system with a few of our own
added features. Using radio linked equipment reduces the amount
of cable running around the construction site and therefore
the number of unnecessary expensive call outs!
Response
There is no point paying for all this equipment on your site
if no one is able to respond effectively to an alarm activation.
The response times from the subcontracted
response companies was getting worse within the M25. Unbelievably
none of the security companies in London had an effective
motorbike response unit up and running!
So in 2001 we set up our own dedicated
motorbike response unit in central London which is called
City Patrol & Response Ltd (C.P.R.)
Since then the alarm activations from
our sites has halved as the criminal fraternity realized that
they had very little time to thieve anything and had a very
real chance of getting caught once the alarm had gone.

CCS will always be researching and developing the latest technology
to bring the most effective security systems to the building
site scenario.
